Real User Monitoring (RUM)
Measure actual browser experience, page load speed, and Google Core Web Vitals from real human visitors across the globe.
Synthetic Uptime vs. Real User Experience
Why HTTP 200 OK only tells half the story
A traditional uptime ping bot tells you that your web server returned an HTTP 200 OK status code. It does nottell you if JavaScript crashed on your customer's device, if third-party tracking scripts bloated page load times to 7 seconds, or if mobile users in Europe experienced severe layout shift. Real User Monitoring (RUM) captures real-world user metrics directly from live sessions.
Google Core Web Vitals Tracked
LCP (Largest Contentful Paint)
Good: < 2.5sMeasures perceived loading speed. Marks the point in page load timeline when the main content (hero banner, image, or text block) has rendered.
TTFB (Time to First Byte)
Good: < 800msMeasures backend responsiveness. The duration between the browser requesting a page and receiving the very first byte of response data from the server or CDN.
CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift)
Good: < 0.1Measures visual stability. Quantifies unexpected layout shifts where text, buttons, or images jump around while the user is reading or interacting.
INP (Interaction to Next Paint)
Good: < 200msMeasures page responsiveness. Evaluates the delay between user clicks, taps, or keyboard presses and the time the visual frame updates on screen.
Quick Installation (< 2KB Telemetry Script)
Paste your site's unique snippet into the <head> tag of your web application:
<script src="https://www.pingzoapp.com/telemetry.js" data-site="YOUR_RUM_SITE_TOKEN" defer ></script>
import Script from 'next/script'
export default function RootLayout({ children }: { children: React.ReactNode }) {
return (
<html lang="en">
<head>
<Script
src="https://www.pingzoapp.com/telemetry.js"
data-site="YOUR_RUM_SITE_TOKEN"
strategy="afterInteractive"
/>
</head>
<body>{children}</body>
</html>
)
}Mandatory Domain Ownership Verification
To prevent unauthorized data ingestion, all RUM sites require domain ownership verification before metrics are accepted. You can choose any of the 3 verification methods:
Method 1: Script Tag Detection (Recommended)
Embed the official telemetry.js script with your site token on your homepage. Click Verify Ownership in the dashboard and Pingzo will automatically inspect the live DOM to confirm the script.
Method 2: HTML Meta Tag
Add this meta tag inside your homepage's <head> section:
<meta name="pingzo-verification" content="YOUR_RUM_SITE_TOKEN" />
Method 3: DNS TXT Record
Add a DNS TXT record at your domain registrar (Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy):
- Type: TXT
- Name / Host:
@(or root) - Value:
pingzo-verify=YOUR_RUM_SITE_TOKEN
100% Privacy-First & GDPR Compliant
Pingzo RUM uses zero tracking cookies, does not log visitor IP addresses, does not collect personally identifiable information (PII), and performs all aggregations anonymously. No cookie consent banners are required.
